I absolutely promise our SC will not be priced like that!
Also, RS4's are nice, but they are not particularly reliable without the SC, can't imagine what it will be like with the SC![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Yes, 405whp was on gutted, catless car, OEM manifolds.
Theoretically 6th should give the best numbers. BUT, do to the speed and load it requires long cooling periods. Those guys searching for high dyno numbers usually cool the car down for 10+ minutes, then go for the numbers, but what's the point?
In reality, 6th gear pulls on the dyno do not really represent 6th gear pulls on the road. There is no way dyno fans can simulate 100+mph airflow to the radiator and the air intake.
We do 4th gear pulls in rapid successsion, so we still stress the car and test the stability of the tune. Additionally, as you can see from our notes on the dyno testing, we also close the hood in order to artificially induce high intake air temperatures above 100F.
So when will we be able to start ordering and when will we know what the tune includes?
Is the governor removed?
Is the throttle response improved?
Can those of us with headers get rid of our O2 simulators?
Can the dealer know if the ECU was tampered with just by visually checking it? (Like a broken seal or something)
If the tune is released tomorrow i'd drive and get it done, but unfortunately this storm won't allow me to.

Yes, we can do all that. Our base tune has a nice mild throttle remap for better responsiveness.
Hopefully the weather clears up next week, give us a call.

Rafi,
What order would you do:
If I put on the Borla exhaust and gut the primaries at the same time first and deal with the CEL until the ECU can be flashed - or - get the ecu flashed first then put on the exhaust and gut the primaries within a few days to a week??
Thx

im here now! hahaah im all in!
damn why haven't i seen this thread yet!
Rafi i know we talked a bit and im getting my car ready just need a few more mods done and my twin turbo setup is ready for you to bless!
We will post the specific pricing details soon, but the basic principles are:
(1) If you buy a tune now, you will get full credit for what you paid towards the SC (although your ECU will have to be re-tuned) once it is released.
(2) Essential re-tunes will be FREE, and depending on the nature of the tune, we may or may not charge shipping. By "essential" I mean making amendments to the tune that will improve consistency and reliability of the tune -- if such a need ever arises. I hope everyone understands, we have thoroughly tested this tune, but as we continue to push the limits of the car, particularly on the track and in the hot summer months, and as we get feedback from you all, we are not going to sit back be complacent about it.
(3) Re-tunes for future non-SC specific upgrades that we will develop, such as Big MAF upgrades, potentially CAMS, or other things that will come up, will be charged at about 1/3 the price of the original tune.... so upgrade costs are going to be very reasonable.
