Yes. Because once you "flash" your ecu with the hand held tuning device the device will be locked and can only be used with your car until you "reflash" the stock settings.
This is so you can't use the device to tune multiple F's. But you will be able to reflash back to stock maps and tuned maps.

I spoke with Rafi on this and according to him you will just pay the price difference from what you purchased to the OBD option.

So the early adopters who used the (IAMTUNED) coupon and got the tune for $650 will pay $145 for the handheld flasher..is that correct?
I assume those who paid full retail price $750 will only need to fork over $45?

Any updates on the status of the transmission module reflash (for those of us who have already purchased & installed a reflashed ecm)?

I haven't sent my ECU in yet. I would hope The discount price would carry over to the OBD handheld. Guess I will find out soon enough.

So anybody who bought first with the discount will end up paying more. Shipping the ecu there and back was not cheap.

As of right now, I see no compelling reason to get the handheld ODB tuner if you already had your ECU flashed other than having the ability to swap back to stock. What am I missing?

I agree with you. I will buy the handheld tool for the price difference we paid as it will cost just as much as shipping both ways if i wanted to flash it back to stock, which I have no plans of doing in the near future.
