Default NOVEL Carbon Fiber Hood on Daniel's IS F (Photos Inside)

We just received these amazing photos from our customer Daniel and his incredible IS F build with his brand new NOVEL Japan Carbon Fiber Hood. Fully functional, this hood moves heated air buildup from the engine to release outward through large vents on the center of the hood. Utilized on NOVEL's CCS-R endurance race car in Germany; dissipating heat is vital to maintain engine longevity and performance by preventing heat soak. What do you guys think of the build?

His car also features the NOVEL Valve Controlled FULL Exhaust complete with their incredible exhaust manifold and full cat back system

Such an amazing looking build!

I think it looks good, but if it were me, I would probably paint the hood to match the body, but leave the vents exposed in CF.

I agree, think that would be what I would do as well.

Looks great though, and nice to see something different to the Seibon version everyone has.

It looks good, but like some of the othes, I would prefer a paint matched hood.

On the much cheaper Seibon hood I could see perhaps color matching hood but not on Novel hood. Carbon fiber weave looks fantastic in person. Now do I have to take loan against my home to purchase it? Love there parts but damn they are expensive. Don't get me wrong I have no problem paying for Quality Parts as you can tell from a signature PPE,RRRACING,FIGS,KWv3,JOEZ etc but they tend to be bit pricey.

Pricey and sometimes bad quality look at the RCF forum Chronos showed Novel parts falling apart and I’ve seen a front lip split in half and looked brand new so the stigma of Novel quality is gone I would pay a premium for subpar quality .

Novel has switched manufacturers mid this year, i'm not sure when those parts that Chronos posted were manufactured. We do offer refund/replacement for any manufacture defects so rest assured, if you purchase novel, you are covered
