We do have some sets left in stock, it is for aesthetics.........these newer style lights look much cleaner IMO

another dumb question, pure plug and play? and the lights are the same from 01 to 05?

do tail lights go bad, like will my 98s need replacing anyway, or probably just the bulbs...

The way Steve sells it, it is plug and play. The wiring harness is a bit different but Steve includes it. Your 98 ones should still be fine. The exterior shell can potentially get scuffed up by external forces but it does not "go bad". Bulbs would be the only thing you need to change, if needed.
