i know huh... i couldn't wait and bought it a month or so ago, but i called them about a GB before. i posted this before. but if you didn't see it, they said IF, and that was a big IF, they had another GB it would be in October, but the person i talked to said she's not responsible for anything if they didn't get another one going.
but seeing all the interest in one, it's kind of surprising that they haven't even chimed in with any type of response. the end of october is nearing, hopefully they'll say something soon.

yeah, defintely, I can't justify paying $330 to hook up my $250 30gb photo ipod to my car, $210 is barely on the edge of justifiable.
In my case it is because my 01 GS does not support nav cd text so I plan mainly to use my iPod in simple mode, which essientially equals my current set up of using the $10 tape adapter but with less distortion and ipod charging.

without reading the all 11 pages can i ask if it matters what gen iPod you have or how old the car is?
I got a 5g iPod and im thinking of getting a SC300, like 95 or older

Just got off the phone with Sales at Vais Tech.
Expected release date for AVIC - 100 (this is the video/audio version that's compatible with the iPod or Satellite radio, unfortunately not both though) is January of '07. This will work with '02-'05 navigation units (sorry, I didn't ask about other models).
Sales person was explaining to me that this product was available in the past but needed to go through a redesign. The old price was $399 and the person I was speaking with was not aware of any plans to change the price, even after the redesign.
