I know things have been posted...in this particular thread, no less. But can you guys detail exactly how and where you mounted the unit? I seem to have read "behind the glove", but exactly how? And has anyone mounted their Ipod in the glove? Did you do anything special with it?

I'm looking forward to hacking my Nav at the same time...what other mods can I do while I have the Nav out? I don't want to have to do this often...

Here is where I placed my box right behind the rear air vent. Easy access, for me. Ran the wire underneath the center armrest to the back and back up front.

Dude! I'm sorry to say this man, but at least hide it under your seat. It'll have a cleaner look.

Not going for looks, going for ease of use. Plug and Play. No one has been in my back seat in over 3 years. And if so, I don't care. Again, Plug and Play.

It's your car, your choice. It's just my opinion.

Damn, I'm about to pick up my RX tomorrow and I just found this thread. Is it too late to get in on the GB price?

Nah, each to his own, I always say...leaving it back there certainly gives you easy access...

Personally, I want a clean look, so I would like to put it behind the glove of my IS, which I've read somewhere of people doing. I just want to know exactly where...

Please post pics you IS owners! I know you're getting your units soon...mine's set to arrive on mon or tues...

Oh not mad at you. I agree with your statement about hiding it. But I also attach various Items to it. Like laptop to play movies when me and the wife is on the road. And a portable satellite reciever and a PDA. So easy access weighed over looks. We still cool. ***DAPZ***

If anyone needs to have this same functionality for attaching other devices, the key is to have easy access to the cables in which case you would hide the main unit and run only the extension cables (either labeled or colour-coded) to a visible spot. This method will give you a clean professional installation while still having easy access.

Mine is already here. But I can't do the install until the weekend. Since there were dozens of us, I would suspect someone could do an indepth install complete with pitfalls, how-tos, and pictures, maybe we can even sticky. Otherwise, I'll end up just placing it on the back of the armrest like nate's....for easy access of course lol.

Trying to rub it in my face Mr Ken?

I'll be doing it tonight, so I'll take some pictures....unless I forget like usual. I have been studying the insides of the interior, finding spots, if the size of the unit is how big it is, then I'll have some trouble.

Default Discount?

Is it too late to get the discount? How long does it take to get the kit?

Thanks.
