Ok Guys, I finally had the time to take the teins cs to work to have it weight, and finally opened the package, I have the tein flex in my car right now, so I was in no hurry to install these, this is our UPS scale at work so.. it should be good.
Tein in my trunk

Front CS

Front CS weight 10 LBS

REAR CS

REAR CS weight 11.5 LBS

and this is the scale I used

Hope this helps..
Johnny

Johnny,

did you read the thread link posted from my previous post?

it sounds like you are saying that this is your scale at work for your UPS shipments. Technically, it's not the scale at UPS itself? Please clarify.

My scale measurements:
Front: 11.9 lbs
Rear: 13.9 lbs

The weighing was done on a calibrated scale and certified "accurate" with a stamp and date.

I don't see any calibration or inspection stamp from the pictures you show. Scales need to be calibrated on a regular basis and a certification stamp and date attached to the unit. Even if the scale is highly accurate and expensive, it' still needs to be calibrated on a regular basis by a CERTIFIED method.

If your scale does have a calibration sticker, then there should be a date stamp on it as well.

Can you try a scale actually located at a UPS or FedEx location? This would be a good back up check.

I will go back and double check the scale I used as well.

Just verified the scale I used at FedEx.

Here ya go.

Johnny,
not trying to pick on you, but we had this same problem when asking people to weigh their brake calipers.

We would see conflicting reports on the reported weights of the same exact part.

This is why I am being picky here with determining the weight of the TEIN CS. As more people get these NEW CS delivered to them, the next thing you know we'll see 5 thread posts with 5 different weights reported.

I'd like to nip this in the bud right now, otherwise it will turn out like the brake caliper reports and we'll never know what weight to actually go by.

So even with my photo proof showing my scale is calibrated, I am not saying that my numbers are Final and Done.

It still would be great if you would try weighing on another scale to back up the weights I am reporting.

Thanks

according to your sticker, your scale is due for a recalibration

VERY OBSERVANT OF YOU.

That's why I went back to check, so it definitely leaves my numbers in question.

That's why I asked for some others to verify my numbers.

I just wanna make sure that when they do it, to make sure it's on a calibrated scale.

With a valid expiration date would be good too.

honestly, just my 2 cents.... i think a rough number is good enough, we don't need to make everything into a science project here. that's just me. if today i go do track racing i might care about the 0.3lb, but otherwise i am ok. in the engineering world, accuracy is not needed all the time

to me it seems like it's about 2lb difference each of them. that's probably good enough for my reference.

Thumbs down

I was just looking at the tein site, and did not see the CS listed for the is350. I only saw the SS listed. Is this correct? : / Will the GS version fit on the 350?

SC430 and new IS is not here yet, but very soon.

The GS stuff won't fit, the dimensions are close (but not close enough!)

These are still not even on TEIN's website, they are too new!!!
