Default Sewell Lexus Online - lexus-parts.com's IS Performance Exhaust from Lexus by HKS

For those of you waiting for the new performance exhaust from Lexus by HKS for your IS250 or IS350, here is a special promotion. The promotion price for this IS exhaust is only $1080. If you have a lift available, the installation can easily be done in under half an hour by using only a few tools. As many of you already know, the HKS Lexus exhaust is made of the industry standard T-304 stainless steel. The exhaust ships in three separate pieces, one box (two cans and the single Y-pipe) and the associated installation hardware.

Dyno tests and results are shown below. Promotion ends 12/31/2006. More Details

Our view: Very low rumble at low rpms and a great subtle sound at high rpms. When cruising in 6th gear the exhaust is not noticed. However, when your IS downshifts to 4th, you are greeted with a desirable low pitch. The craftsmanship of this exhaust is impeccable, with show quality welds and a perfect factory fit - our opinion - a match made in heaven.

Following the links directly from Club Lexus, your price is only $1080. Use promotional code HKS30 during the checkout process. They are in stock available for shipping same day. Shipping rates valid for contiguous US only.

sounds like a deal. just out of curiosity, why is it listed under l-tuned and trd on the site? and how come there is no hks stamp on the exhaust, is it because it is through the factory?

We find it all too common the confusion between TRD, L-Tuned and performance hence the reason for adding this particular item under multiple categories. The Lexus exhaust is essentially just that - a Lexus exhaust.

The new exhaust is not stamped with any names such as HKS or LEXUS.

Default Is250

Here is the exhaust before and then after as shown on YouTube

...and just for a little fun, here's a the IS350 without any exhaust installed. Click here

After the exhaust was installed on the IS350, we were able to achieve a 10 horsepower gain at the wheels. Again, the dynographs will be posted later.

Decisions, decisions. It's my understanding that the Tanabe produces 7rwhp on the 350 and 4rwhp on the 250. Apparently the HKS produces 10rwhp on the 350. Thus, there is a 3rwhp difference between the two exhausts on the 350, and assuming this holds true for the 250, then the HKS should produce 7rwhp for the 250. I don't know if an extra 3rwhp justifies nearly double the price...but it does appear to be a beautiful looking exhaust...anyone else have any thoughts on this?

umm i was gonna get this hks one, but then wanted to wait for an AM one from them first. but then yesterday my parts guy called me and said he had a tanabe available for me at a good price so i jumped on it. it was perfect timing and i didn't have to wait for shipping or anything.

but as for performance, it probably doesn't justify price. that's 3whp you won't feel. but the GB drops it to $1080 while you can get the tanabe for under $700 shipped. so that depends on you. an extra $400 for a few hp. what about sound? i didn't think the tanabe would sound like it did when i heard it on my car but it was perfect for me. i think anything louder wouldn't suit well for me. and it's supposed to get a little louder with time... my only complaint w/tanabe is that it doesnt stick out far enough. i have the oem kit and the sides of the exhaust are the only parts that stick out further than the bumper.

I remember someone mentioning something about an available exhaust system that could add 25-30 hp to a 350.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or have I been lied to?
