Default Sewell Lexus, sewellpartsonline.com - IS Aluminum Sport Pedal Sets

Guys, from our recent summer promotion we remain to have a number of the Lexus OE Sport Pedal sets for 2006 to 2008 IS. Available for both the automatic transmission and manual transmission IS models. Each kit includes the aluminum accelerator pedal, aluminum brake pedal and the aluminum foot rest (aka dead pedal). For the manual transmission models, the clutch and brake pedals are the same, subsequently two of these will be added to the foot rest and accelerator pedal for a total of four pedals.

Each pedal is designed to replace your existing rubber pedals, therefore they are considered to be "replacements" as opposed to an overlay or a clip-on.

First off, I ordered the illuminated scuff plates from you guys and I was very pleased with the price, shipping, product, etc. Very easy to install. So after that good experience with you guys, I would definitely order from you guys again, especially with the prices you guys have.

My only question is that I have seen a lot of people say that one of the pedals is difficult to install for some reason. Is this something that has been changed in any way or is it more operator error or a need for a certain type of tool? I just want to know what I am getting myself into before I order them. Thanks, in advance......

same question here as cane2263. I assume that it is the same old pedals that are a pain to install?

Yes this is the same old sport pedals. The only hard one to install is the gas pedal but if you have the right tools in your hand then it is easy to get out. So you should not worry about it if you got the right tools for it. It toke me almost 2 hours to install and in the end it pays off. You can also pay a the dealership to do it for you, if you have a hard time on it, but it might cost you another $170 or more for it.

For an experienced technician, how long would it take to install the gas pedal?

Well, I just got my pedals in today, and I must say: I LOVE THEM!!

They really make the interior sporty looking...exactly what it needed

Thanks again Daryl. Sewell was GREAT to deal with. It was my first time, but definitely not my last.

Maybe Darrel can clarify
With this kit here, the accelerator is now complete replacement with the spring loaded box isn't it? Because the old one require you to push pins out and stuff, that used to cost $100. But I believe Lexus discontinued selling that and sell the complete gas pedal Assy for around $200. So if this is one that bolts on (complete gas pedal), $155 it seems like a great deal.
