Hi Kitsune - the 6k almost has a purplish color to it since the D4S bulb sits inside a projector housing and the 8k has more blue in it so it's a tad darker.
For those who are going for the ultimate racing look - h11 and 9006 3k kits are available!

Cliff, after I install these, should I keep my lights off the "auto" setting? I've read that people say it shortens the life of the bulbs or somethingerather... I've gotten kinda lazy now since I've had "auto" headlights for years...

aznjason - you can leave it on "auto" if you'd like. I haven't heard of any issues of HID kits on the new IS cars with the lights set to "auto". It just means that they'll go on/off a little more often as you pass through tunnels and stuff.

HJey Cliffud...thanks for the ballasts...got em very fast...problem was the bulb had started coming undone around the edge where it screws in.....never seen that coming.....going to have to pull the whole assembly tomorrow to get the rest of it out...can't wait! Better research it....anyway I need some 6000k bulbs...actually only one but you probably can't sell just one and what if it doesn't match my other one in color? I am running McColough bulbs or should I say A McCollough bulb. Talk to me...I need it asap or them asap...whichever.

vintage - glad to hear you got the ballasts, that's unfortunate that it was actually a bulb issue though, but hey- now you can have HID fogs! h11 6k kits are out of stock at the moment but 4300k, 5k, and 8k are in stock and ready to go.
