luis... your website says this is the '05 year nav upgrade disk... this really the case? 7.1='05? they waited until mid '08 to issue a map dvd with info thats already 3 years old? probably just a typo.. drop me an email when you get a minute, i've got some questions about some other parts as well.

This would be the 2007-2008 DVD Navigation System Update Data Ver. 07.1 (Gen 5 Nav System)

I am not sure if this disc will work with Lexus models equipped with Generation 2, 3 or 4 Nav systems. ?

Which means i think covers the following Lexus cars only..

2006 – 2008 IS 250/350
2007 - 2008 RX 350
2007 - 2008 ES 350
2007 - 2008 RX 400h
2007 - 2008 GS 350
2007 - 2008 GS 430 / 460
2007 - 2008 GS 450h
2007 - 2008 GX 470

will this disable the option to input addresses while driving cuz on my 06 i can used the hack to get around that ?

Yes.. you will lose the 06 overide trick from Tech screen..

But also, the "I Agree" is gone too... You just get a 5 sec warning screen..

thats a good question that brings up another point.. if this disk does happen to also work with the '03 gs430 navigation, i have a viastech unit installed for my ipod thats currently also programmed to kill the "i agree" button...i wonder if the 7.1 update would screw up whatever programming the sli is using to turn that off...guess i gotta call them too.

The site has been corrected, the car is there.

As I understand it from Lexus , the upgrade will over ride all changes or mods done to your current set up.

If I purchase this disc, can I use it to upgrade my 07 IS350 AND my mother's 07 GS350? Or do I need to purchase two separate discs? Thanks

the disk needs to be left in the nav system you've upgraded. it wont run without it.

Well this version came out in Sept 07'...

It was part of some of the 2008 Model roll outs, back then..

All the 2008's should be coming with 7.1 now..

I would expect a possible newer version in Sept 08'..
