These mirror covers snap into place. There's no tape or adhesive, and they're held in place by the same bolts that hold the OEM mirror cover in place.
Let me know what angle you want to see and I can post them for you. If I understand you correctly, you want a shot facing the mirror, right? For those that are curious to see what they look like in action, here's a .GIF I made before having them installed:
