The entire purpose of the controller is to increase the speed at which the throttle by wire system in your vehicle actually gets the signal to the car to accelerate. A lot of people complain about a lag in the response time of when they press the pedal and the car actually get moving. What this does, via plug and play kit, is give different levels of increased response time. So when ou hit the gas, your car will launch instantly as opposed to having any type of lag.

So if it's anything like the Sprint Booster in Mercedes' modifications, it's just getting the signal to be 1/2 throttle when you're really at 1/4 and full throttle when your foot's at 1/2?

As far as I know, sprint booster in MB cars also makes the car respond faster but it's just because it's just doing the same as flooring your car everywhere, and it doesn't help any max performance...
