I put 1 coat of 476 and 3 coats of 845 myself for this winter. Though it never snows in SoCal lol

I think you car is pretty much bullet proof at this point w/ all of those layers, lol. Plus, you should have water beading on there for the next year or two lol

How long does Collinite last? I bought a tin a couple years ago and never used it.

It'll depend on how bad the weather is, how often you wash, what soap you wash with, etc, but in general, you can usually see 3-4 months protection. Some claim longer and enough to last all winter. 2 layers makes it more indestructible This stuff really is just about the most durable product out there. fwiw, the 476 might be a little more durable since its in paste form, however, I personally think I see more beading w/ 845

oh, and a tip for those going w/ 845. This stuff will be pretty thick when you receive it. Before you go to apply it, run it under some hot water. It'll really thin it out and make pouring it considerably easier!

^^You can also shake it like no other. Had to do it for 5 minutes before it finally liquefied lol
