Will there be a SL2Vi-P4-UP? I would like to just get everything all at the same time.

 

spent 1/2 hr at the vaistech site, a bit confused and see if i can get a conclusion here

i have a super old school nano 4gb right now, and my car is 08 gs350 nav/ML

so sl2i-up is what i need, correct?

and with sl2i-up, even if later i get the iphone 3g, it will play just fine as well including charging, is that right?

of course the only thing not possible with sl2i-up is the video (if later i get iphone 3g). and since you mention the charging adapter for iphone 3g will be available next week, if i order the sl2vi-p4-up (assume that's the name), would it be the same price or i need to pay extra?

SL2Vi-P4 will get its 5V charging adapter next week, it'll be an add-on piece to existing SL2Vi-P4 iPod cable.

 

5V charging adapter will be released next week, it'll cost around $35.

If you are not planning on using video with your iPhone 3G then SL2i-UP is the right product for you.

If you are planning to use video then you do need to get SL2Vi-P4 with 5V charging adapter.

 

One more time just to clear things up before I make an impulse buy, I have a 2008 IS250 w/ navigation but NO MarkLevinson package. ALL I want to do with my 30GB iPod that I bought 2 yrs ago is to have iPod control capability and iPod video playing on my navigation screen. So I would then need the product that is listed for $299.99, correct? The Sl2vi

i wonder if its worth buying a new one and replace my old SLI. the only new feature is being able to view video on the nav screen right? are you able to view video while car is moving?

I have 07 IS250 Nav / NO ML..so I understand that I need to get the
SL2Vi - $299.99 if i want to play Video or my Ipod music through my Nav, right?
but, what's the difference between this and SL2Vi-P4 - $379.99??

 

read the model package charge. i believe all 06/07 new generation lexus they need P4

 

SL2Vi-P4 is designed for cars that have a factory DVD system. Since you don't have ML system in your car you don't need SL2Vi-P4.

All features are the same for both units, in fact the units are the same, cable is the only difference.

please let us know when the charging cable for the Iphone 3G is available for the SL2Vi-P4. That is when I'll order.

BTW, when will the MultiMediaLinQ with video compatibility be available? I may just wait for that if it's coming out soon.
