Hi,

The Bi-Xenon function is achieved by a moving shield within the projector. When you switch between high and low beam the shield moves thus causing the light to reflect differently.

You would just need to get new D4 6000k bulbs.

for the relay harness, does the negative cable go to the negative of the battery or do we have to look for a ground in the engine bay?

Anyone has any pointers for any good ground spots if this is required?

Hi,

You can ground within the engine bay to any bare metal. Make sure that you do not ground to a painted surface. You can also use some sandpaper if you want to clean up a certain area to make sure the location is clean.

just letting potential buyers know that the volt kit is a great deal! got mine within a week of ordering. installation was super easy. both lights fired up without a hitch. btw, i ordered the 6000k bulbs for my is350, they are pure white with little to no blue tint, just the way i want them. thanks xenondepot!

Hi,

Our Xtreme kits come with a relay harness however our Volt kits do not. You do not "need" a relay harness when installing an HID kit in an SC application as our ballasts are low draw so you can safely power the ballast directly from the OE wiring.

Using a relay harness though does ensure that the ballasts always receive a constant 12V.

Thanks for the speedy response!

so what problems could arise by not having a relay installed?

If your OEM harness does not provide the ballast with a stable 12V the lights will flicker which will cause them to burn out prematurely.

Nope! Not at all =)

We have had many SC customers install our Volt kit with very very positive feedback.
