Right, sorry Steve, not enough coffee this morning!
Will the high-beam system on the 92 ES300 supply enough voltage to run an HID kit while in DRL mode?
Stock DRL is sooo dim...

Hi,
I honestly would not suggest upgrading your high beams to HID for severa reasons:
1) HID bulbs require a constant 12v meaning that if your vehicle has DRL the DRL would need to be deactivated.
2) HIDs take a moment to reach their desired light output. In situations where you need to flash someone your HID high beams would not be very functional.
3) It is strenuous on the components to be turned on/off repeatedly ie: flashing people.
Hope this helps,
Steve

It's true, I do flash people who look like they might be stupid enough to drive into me as I blow through a yellow
But doesn't flashing on the ES300 turn on all 4 lamps, and the highs would actually go from their DRL voltage level up to full voltage? The net effect would be that the output on the highs wouldn't change due to regulation of the HID's, and the lows would flash on.
The reason I am wondering about this is that your kits seem to be rated for 9-16V, so if the DRL voltage is 9 or more then my idea would work. But if it is only 7.25 then it wouldn't.

Hello,
Couple Questions real quick:
Will either kit throw a bulb out code? I need a set for my GL450 and they have the dead bulb indicators that I have heard come on when you install HID.
Also, I need several kits. Do you wholesale to businesses?
PM me please, thank you!

free bump
-- Steve -- I just emailed you about an H4 reflector headlight.
Is the Volt kit available in H4/9003? (bi-X)
if not, how much are just the H4 bi-x bulbs (assuming they will work properly with reflector type headlights...I have an extreme kit)
thanks,
Mike
