Amplifier is the problem. For some reason Lexus decided to throw sound digitally for Video portion, instead of analog signal. So SL2Vi plays video, but produces no audio for Video part for '06 GS with ML package.

So the only one option to get headrest monitors work together with the Navi screen is buying the SL2VU + some DVD player, if i understand correctly?

If so, can i replace the OEM ML CD unit(indash) for a DVD player(half DIN) and still play video/audio files with your SL2VU?
I'm talking about LS430 '05 ML w/ Navi.

Thanks for helping me out choosing the right interface!

SL2Vu and all of our interfaces will only work with factory installed equipment, will not work with aftermarket units.

If you are looking for iPod integration then we have two units to offer, SL2i-UP and SL2Vi. SL2i-UP will integrate iPod audio portion, so you can browse your iPod using your radio controls and touch screen. Text will also be displayed on your Nav screen.

SL2Vi will do all of the above and will add functionality to play videos from your iPod on your nav screen.

Default Need Product Confirmation

I have a 2008 Lexus IS350 ML w/Nav & an Ipod Nano 3rd generation. I would like to play audio and video (through the nav) and have it integrate with the steering wheel controls, etc.

I'm under the impression that i need the SL2Vi product to accomplish this.

Is that correct?

Thanks for your time.

Does anyone have any unofficial/unsupported tips to enable video in motion on the 02 LS430UL with the SL2Vi?

Why does the website mention 5th gen for the video iPods if all models work?

SL2Vi will play Video from your iPod and has iPod integration as well. SL2Vu will play Video from any Video source.

Because 5th Gen iPod is the only Video iPod that doesn't need 5V charging adapter.

So after re-reading your website I'm confused. Do I need the SL2Vi or the SL2Vi-P4?

Perhaps you could explain the difference between them?

Also, can you confirm this does not interfere with the OEM XM Radio tuner?

Thanks again for your time,
Tony

Neither of our iPod integration units will conflict with your factory installed XM radio. SL2Vi-P4 is a SL2Vi with package 4, it's required for some models due to factory installed DVD. On our website you can find application guide for SL2Vi/SL2Vu which cross references exactly what package for SL2Vi you need and whether or not your car is compatible.

Thanks,

If you don't have Mark Levinson package in your IS250 with Nav, then you don't need to get a package 4. You just need SL2Vi with package 1, it's going for $269.99 with 5V charging adapter.
