any ideas as to what is causing this? I have the iPod Touch 2g and was thinking of upgrading to a 3g if it meant the (occasional) black and white video issue would be solved. But if it still isn't solved then I will stick with my iPod Touch 2g and keep enjoying color video off the nav screen on my 2008 IS 350 whenever it is working.

Do you know if the first gen ipod touch works ok with the ISx50 in terms of color video? If this is the case, I might try to find a used one on craigslist. Just trying to figure out what my options are for the sl2vi...
