Only if your car was made for Japanese or Chinese market. If you have US spec car it will not support other language characters.

Just placed my order over the phoneSL2Vi...can't wait. Now I have a reason to also do the red ground wire nav mod to watch videos while I drive...avoid me like the plague on the freeways. Blind driver coming through...ahahah... J/K it's for my passengers to enjoy

Question: I have 07 gs 350 with just navi no ML. Can I use the Vais to watch movies on my navi screen? does it still work? and which vais system would be best. Thanks

Yes you can still use our devices to watch videos on your nav screen. If you would like to watch video from your iPod then you need SL2Vi. If you would like to watch videos from other MP3 player, DVD player or any other video source then you need SL2Vu.

I have an 04 LS430 UL, which has a Gen 4 Navigation System. I am interested in being able to playing music from an iPod. Looking at your web site, the SL2i appears to be compatible, but it doesn't list the latest iPod Classic 120GB. I would like the unit to be able to satisfy future usage of an iPhone when they become available thru my carrier Verizon. Would the SL2Vi be a good choice for me? Would that also allow video?

Please suggest.

If you would like to integrate Audio from your iPod only then you can go with SL2i-UP. It will display playlist and track information on your nav screen.

If you would like all of the above and be able to play videos from your iPod/iPhone on the screen then you need to get SL2Vi.

Both units are fully compatible with your car!

I recommend you get SL2i-UP, it will integrate iPod into your nav with text display and control. You will also be able to browse your iPod by playlist, artist, album, podcast and audiobooks.

SL2Vu is a universal audio/video in, so you can connect any audio/video source to the car using SL2Vu. That includes any mp3 players that have audio/video capabilities.
