Just a reminder, SL2Vu is a universal AUDIO/VIDEO in. It will integrate any AUDIO/VIDEO source into your navigation screen, things like DVD players, generic MP3 players that can play videos and etc.

And SL2Vu can be installed in conjunction with SL2i or SL2i-UP.

If you have iPhone, then you can get SL2Vi and integrate iPhone fully into nav and be able to play movies from your iPhone on your nav.

If you have a preference to play video from other source, then SL2Vu will do that. And in this case for audio iPhone integration you can get SL2i-UP, and get it fully controlled through nav as well!

In your case SL2i-UP is the best unit to use. It will integrate iPod or iPhone into your nav with full text and control from your radio and it will charge it as well!

Unfortunately neither SL2Vi or SL2Vu are not compatible with '06 GS with nav, so your only option is to get SL2i-UP and have iPod audio portion integrated with text on your display and control from it as well. Since you have 4th Gen nav you will only be able to access iPod from nav by playlist and songs inside those playlists.
