The current version will be a bit too long for the mirror. But I'm sure we'll have a shorter VLine available shortly after first model gets released in early October.

Interesting... I wonder if the gaps around the trunk can be fitted with this (not all around just two straight lines on left and right of license plate). It would work nicely as a back up light. Imagine it lit up when going in reverse... nice.

I just got mine in the mail and I'm pretty impressed. The LED units and ECU's are well manufactured and the kit came with a detailed guide on configuration. I have mine set up to replace DRL's ( but not high beam) and sync with turn signals.

GOOD JOB VAIS!

Post pics! Close-up pics when the lights are off would be nice.

Also if possible, park next to a new Audi with LED DRL's and take a comparison shot of both for brightness.

Now that the 2011 IS has these LED lights it may not look like you are coping the Audi.

Here's a night shot.. I had two cars flash their lights at me on the way home from work so there is no doubt these babies are BRIGHT!! and they do not look cheap at all, IMO they look much better than the Audi oems. Say what you will about copying Audi, but they certainly did not invent LED strings and they were not the first to rope it along headlights. I mounted an LED rope on my 325is back in 1998

The lights come with a power wire, ground wire, and a control wire if I'm not mistaken and at first I had it tied into the DRL oem control, but didn't work so well since they turn off when the headlights are on. Now I have them tapped into the ignition so they are on 24/7

your best bet is to turn off the DRLs at the dealer ($45 to access the car's brain using a diagnostic computer) and tap these lights in with the ignition.
