To confirm, there will be no loss of previously saved data when upgrading your navigation DVD. The saved information is stored in the Navigation computer while the mapping information remains on the disc.

hi darrel. similar question as j hao n love67. i have an 07 is350 n never updated before. is it ok to get the rebate. and i am not sure which version i have.
also will this mean that the nav will be able to locate my home address after the update? my house been around for over 50 yrs now and my current nav system says my home address does not exist.
Also will it take care of the "i agree" when I start up my car?
the i agree part is well worth to money if it can take care of that =)
Thanks!!!

You might want to check out the VaisTech units. I purchased their SL2Vi unit for my 04 LS430 UL for $270. This allows me to connect an iPod and play music and video thru the existing nav/stereo system. I can control the iPod from the steering wheel or the screen. The iPod is charged while driving, turns off when car is shut down, turns on when car is started.
Oh, and did I mention that it automatically clicks the "I Agree" button when you start up each time?
There was a group buy a few months ago on this. VisaTech also has a cheaper unit that doesn't include video. I love mine, it updated and completed my car. I connected a 120GB iPod and have it in my glove box. No external wires. Like adding a hard drive to your system. I have 62 albums on mine at this time and had another 100 easily.
Just a suggestion if you are really tired of the "I Agree" nonsense.
