So they layout and the "look" of the nav is the same?

When I looked at my state there are only a few very minor changes that really does not effect me at all. So if it does not look "cooler" than I will just keep the disc I have now I guess.

Thanks.

Most drivers will not experience a significant mapping change with an Update. Just like most people do not change their regular maps every year, most people do not need to update the Navigation maps every year. This is an annual update so it's not a required purchase. You can easily wait until next year if you're having doubt.

The rebate we have is just for those who purchase these updates every year.

Anybody know the answer to the "I Agree" PITA?

^yes. It's deal with it, unfortunately. It is annoying but I guess Lexus finds it necessary.

Sorry.

I have been told that the 9.1 DVD for Gen 2/3 will not be out until the end of this month. If it is available now I would like to place an order. Please let me know so I can take some action.

old DVD NAV player has open/close door slide to get the disc out. just slide and you may need to push a button after slide the open/close slide. new GEN DVD NAV system use on-screen eject DVD option. you can find it in one of the menu. the user guide should has page discuss about this.

joejohn, are you sure you have a Gen5 ver 7.1 on your 2009RX? I'm asking because I have Gen5 ver 8.1 on my 2008RX350. Doesn't sound right when you have a 2009 model RX with an older version than my 2008 RX.

In case you didn't already figure it out, yes your navigation computer is located in the same place as the RX350 - the right rear portion of the cargo area.
