SL2Vi is iPod+iPod Video input
SLI is iPod +AUX input
SL2Vu is Audio/Video input
We don't have one device that will do it all, but you can choose of what is most important to you.
Thanks

VML is what I would eventually want, as I'm not interested in tying the system to some specific model of iPod which may or may not eventually become incompatible in the future. I'm more comfortable with a general USB-Drive system, but the price is still a bit much to justify for me. Will look at again when pricing is closer to $200.

I miss out the last GB. I won't miss out this one.
I ordered SL2Vi for my RX. Call at 3pm EST. Got shipping confirmation with tracking info sameday. Can't wait for for the brown guy show up.

Pole Position
I am starting to really shy away from the idea of the VML, as much as I like the idea of it in general it seems like I am just way too limited with the "Gen 4" system that doesn't have CD-MP3 (UGH LEXUS). Seems like browsing through the music on the VML using the CD changer controls would be a monumental pain.
If I opt for an iPod based system (ugh again... but...), am I correct to assume that I could use both the car OR the ipod itself for song selection? The only reason I would consider the ipod route would be simply because finding the music to play would be a lot easier than attempting to use the clunky "disc" interface.
DOH! That is a lot of money just for an aux input...
I am still worried that 3 years from now, I will get a new iPod and it will no longer be supported by the vais unit - is this fear unjustified?
Basically it seems that I am stuck with unwieldly searching capabilities with my stereo no matter which solution I turn to.

What is SIMPLE Mode?
SoundLinQ SLI can be set up in SIMPLE Mode (Please see the manual). In SIMPLE mode iPod™ is not controlled through the Radio, all the control goes back to the iPod™. No information will be displayed on your Radio. In SIMPLE Mode only, iPod™ will not turn off when the Radio is off or switched to different source, you have to turn it off manually.

Any news about the new wire for SL2Vi instead of the adaptor? Been hearing you guys saying its in developement for a while now. Adaptor makes the Iphone stick out to much and annoying pressing the button to release Iphone. Everything is great about the product except the wiring to the Iphone. One more suggestion, Make HD radio add on! Thanks
