Retro - In the SC400's PROJECTOR headlights, the 4100K comes out as a yellowish color but only because the projector itself is causing it. In a LS400 (which has a relfector headlight), I'm not sure how it will show up...
With the 6000K, the light comes out a light PURPLE color (not blue)....there is still a TINY bit of yellowishness in it (again, due to the SC's projectors), but it's not noticable...
I am debating between running the 4100K vs. the 6000K in my SC...I've been using my 4100K for a few weeks now...I think I'm going to change them out to the 6000K and run it for a while so I can see which I like...I want to see if the 6000K weaker performance is noticable...it will still be way brighter than Halogens, but it's suppose to be 20% less light output than the 4100K...

Just wondering, everyone mentions the upgrade from stock halogen to HID. How much brighter is the 4100k kit compared to PIAA 9006 Hyper Brights. Is it that much more noticable. Thanks

the 4100ks are all white (on my friends celica gts with projectors)... cant get any whiter then that... As for the 6000k which are on my rx3 (using projectors), they are Pure white also, but you get that tiny bit of blue tint in it. NOT so much that its noticable but when you look at it, it looks very white instead.
for those piaas they cannot compare at all. I have piaas and raybrigs in my sisters car and they totally get wrecked on by HIDS. thats why i think of upgrading her car to hids too... once you go HID, you cant go back...
btw, are the 6000k you guys getting the ultinon 6000k? Thats the ones i have currently.

I have the 7500K system in my car, they are VERY VERY white with a Deep blue/purple look from a distance.. They DO have the color shift when driving as well! I'll post pics..

This pic is from about 10 feet from a wall.. THe Right light has a crack on the lense, so thats why its not showing as well.
They are SO much brighter than my old halogens..
My kit cost $530.00 and that included 3rd day select UPS.
This kit has Osram Bulbs, and Hella Ballasts with a 1 year free replacement warranty.
I compaired my car with my GS and these are actually brighter, but do not have the same wide pattern as my GS does.
