Can someone describe what the "navi hack" enables you to do and and if there is a thread with assistance. I purchased the SL2Vi-4 package for my '08 IS-F and would like to be able to play videos in motion (for my son in the back seat). I thought there might be a by-pass that you could do for this in the install without having to purchase a $350 item from prestigious society.

^ Search is your friend. These methods will void your warranty if something happened to your nav though. This is why people are willing to spend $300+ on the P&P module.

SL2iC will first be released for 5th Gen Navi, then 3rd and 4th gen to follow. Anticipated retail price is $349.99. SL2iC will include native iPod interface and Video playback on the nav screen. iPod browsing will be done through the touch screen!
We are planning to release it in September of this year.

I just wanted to post back in the thread to say that I did end up buying the SL2i UP and fitting it in my LS430. It works well, I've been very happy with it and I recommend it. It's faster in use than the aftermarket system I fitted to my 911 and audio quality is flawless - feed it good source material and it really delivers. The only gripes relate to browsing on my Gen IV Nav which I wish let me see artists and titles rather effectively requiring playlists to organize your music. If we could see that, and use the tuning **** to scroll and select the unit would be perfect. As it is, that one issue aside I really like the unit and recommend it highly.
