Not to discourage you, but with time they will start to rust. My Cross-Drilled rotors were made by KVR, they are cadmium plated, the closest part to the hub, the inner part of the rotor, I'm starting to get a little bit of rust. Also, I usually clean my wheels with "Hot Wheels" wheel cleaner by Meguiars, and the Armor All wheel cleaner(formerly "QuickSilver"), or by hand, and once the cleaning detergent hits the cadmium plating, it does something to it, because I have this silvery-grey stains on the hub of the rotor, and anywhere that the cadmium plating is there and the brake pad does not touch. It almost looks like dry water spots on the finish. Again, not sure if it's a KVR thing, or a Cadmium plated thing. Just givin' ya a headzup so nobody get's disappointed.
Ed
P.S. I have the rotors for almost 3 mos

Not necessary, but recommended. Your front pads that you changed are stock or performance pads? If stock, I would say ditch 'em and get some performance pads..It's a cheap upgrade, not to mention cheap insurance. You wouldn't wear basketball sneakers to go running, would you?

Just a reminder guys that this Friday this Group Buy ends so please don't miss out because more than likely this will not be offered again.. Just a heads up!

For all the guys that have gotten in so far looks like Steve is getting product in as we speak so I expect he would be shipping very shortly.. Thank you for your patience!

Just got off the phone with Angel at Carson Toyota. I ordered the rotors, brake pads and the shim and fitting kits.

Now - can anyone recommend some good spray on caliper paint in silver? I don't want a paint on kit like G2. I also think $40+ is a little high for caliper paint.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hey bravo,

How come you have to miss out on the GB because of the trip?

Ryan,

If you can wait I will check mine at home tonight. I bought it from Home Depot and it costs under 10 bucks!!

Just wanted to give you guys an update.. Talked to Mr. Ganz and he informs me that 35 people so far have gotten in on the Brake Group buy in one way shape or form..

Its been very successful but this will not be offered again for sometime due to lack of product at these current prices..

For example the GS front and rear drilled / slotted CAD plated rotors will go up to $399 when this group buy ends tomorrow..

Also for you SC430 owners who were wondering if the Supra Calipers and rotors would work on their car if you had high disk offset wheels.. No problem it all fits perfectly!

I use Rust-Oleum Hammered finish paint for my calipers and it works well. It also stops rust. You can find it from homedepot.

Good luck!!

Thanks Damnboy. Is this stuff high temperatue? I don't mind paying for a quality paint. I just don't want to hand paint it like G2, not to mention the outrageous price.

Thanks,
Ryan

It's not high temp. but it can bear up to 200F (93C) and I think that's enough. Have it on my calipers for 8 months without showing any problem.
