For the floor mats, they have that hole that is made to put the holder pins into them so they don't slide around in most of the lexus' (2IS) for sure.. Would snow and water even be blocked from going through and getting the carpet wet?

 

It would depend on the type of anchor system your mat uses, but if it is a hook style that is most common, the mat is raised around the anchor to prevent moisture from getting through.
