A qualified MAYBE. Attached are Dynos of my ISF and a Friends. We both have PPE headers. I have a custom fabricated dual exhaust system with modified factory mufflers. He has a JoeZ exhaust system. I have Hi-Flow Magnaflow cats he has none. He's the blue curve, I'm the green one. You'll notice reduced HP and Torque below 3K for his car. Then he breathe's better above 5.5K.

^^^^The JoeZ system for the ISF utilizes 2.5" piping as does my custom fabricated system. With PPE headers and a third party exhaust system on an F there is no accommodation for catalytic converters. Pipe needs to be cut and they need to be welded or V-Banded in. A pict of mine is attached.

Just paid, so I guess I should just stick with oem cats rather than put in a test pipe?? I don't really want to lose the low end torque cuz 99% of the time my car stays below 3k rpm

I will. They will help keep the rasp down.

I havent got mine in yet, but plan on having a shop do the install next year right after the winter.

On my car, a 92 SC400, will the headers bolt on directly, or will the two catalytic converters have to be relocated further down?

Any specifics about install so I can make arrangements and recommendations to the shop are appreciated.

Everything is still in process, I was at SEMA the day you paid so still getting caught up. PPE is still tied up with the show through the end of the week but I will try to get latest build status as soon as I can.

From the PPE web site:

"The PPE GS/LS/SC V8 headers give max power gains of 20whp as seen on our initial dyno runs (LS430). The headers bolt in place of the stock maniflods and are compatable with stock or aftermarket catalytic converters/exhuast."

Here:

http://www.ppeengineering.com/produc.../gsscandls.php

So, yes, they bolt up to the stock cats.

Wish I was able to jump on these. I'm interested in the installation difficulties 98+ SC owners expierienced, as well as what they think preformance wise. I'd definately be in for next years GB if they give good reviews!
