The higher end model doesn't allow you to add a secondary Tpms to the car. Even though it states it can.

What if the Lexus car comes with the TPMS ID selector switch. By this I mean, the car has 'MAIN' & '2nd' position TPMS switch for 2 sets of ID codes (Winter & Summer Tires). This switch is located mostly in the glove box.

Would the Quickset tool be useful here? Or does it only function without the factory ID selector switch?

Thanks.

The Quickset would operate in the same fashion so in your case, it is not necessary. What year, make and model do you have?

Thanks for your response. I have a 2006 Lexus LX470. Of which, per my post above, it has both 'MAIN' and '2nd'.

I would like to have my second set of tires programmed under the '2nd' instead of 'MAIN'. This way, after initial ID programming, I can simply swap the tires everytime without having to go through the process all the time.

Back to my question, would the quick set tool help with programming the '2nd'?

Thanks.

^^^ Short answer: yes it will, very straighforward process.

I've been using the Quickset tool for about two years already and it works great, it saves/retrieves IDs to/from the car's ECU as expected. I've used it on different cars and so far I've found only one car that fails to get the IDs saved: the Nissan GTR. Lexus? No problem!
