I need to replace a couple of tire pressure sensors. I have a garage that can replace the sensors, but they do not have the tool to register the new sensors. I'm looking at purchasing an ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset tool so that I can register the new sensors myself. But during the course of my research, I have run across a couple comments about needing to trigger or activate the new sensors. Can anyone provide some clarification? Is the ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset tool enough to replace one or all of the sensors in the wheels? Or is there another tool required to trigger or activate the new sensors? If another tool is required, what is that sensor?
Apologies for the delay! SEMA backed us up a bit. Your vehicle will need an activation tool to wake the sensors up each time. I recommend the VT30 as it will be the best tool for the job.
