Default New to me 2014 - questions regarding pistons and rings

I just picked up an Ultra White 2014 FS as my DD. Did quite a bit of research regarding head gasket failures etc before pulling the trigger. I'm trying to narrow down or get confirmation regarding the piston ring changes. Some posters have said that the change took place in MY14 others MY15. @E46CT I found 2019 and earlier threads where you stated that rings were redesigned in MY15. But in a 2020 thread you said it was MY14 for both pistons and rings. My CT has a 4/14 build date. Is it possible that some late MY14's got the revised rings as well? Is there an official Lexus document that states when they started using revised rings?

I looked this up before I bought my car. I am pretty sure that if your car is a facelift 2014 model it should have the revised parts. Let me see if I can find the info I found for mine.... I recall that I looked up part numbers for my car and verified they were the revised parts based on my VIN but I'll get back to you.

Ah ha! I found the TSB. Here you go my friend.

Just take a look at that VIN and as long as your VIN # (after the # symbol) is LATER than the one posted, you are good to go.

Production Change Effective VIN: JTHKD5BH#E2180953

Thank you! Confirmed, my VIN is later than the one posted so good to go!

And literally says it right here as far as BOTH the piston and ring assembly getting a redesign in 2014:

Some 2010 – 2014 model year CT 200h vehicles equipped with 2ZR-FXE engines may exhibit engine oil consumption. The piston and ring assembly has been redesigned to minimize
oil consumption.
