Rear side panels removal
Does anyone know how to remove the rear side panels by the hatch - the ones that are right behind the rear passenger seats? I'm trying to run a wire along there to the rear of the hatch. Thanks.

The beige upper panels are captive by the lower black panels, so they have to come out first. I've had good luck fishing wires behind the black panel without any removal of the panels. Take the rear trunk liner, foam insert out and you can usually see through to the passenger door opening.
Alternatively, if I see your new wire correctly, you can remove the weather stripping from the door frame opening (just pull) and pry behind the black panel and only need to pop a few fasteners to gain access behind it.

To remove the rear hatch inner trim, the upper plastic portion (top of glass) comes off first. Just pry, there's about 5 plastic snap fasteners. The larger bottom segment comes out by prying, too, though there might be 2 or so screws

The second question is, what would be the best way to get my cable through this rubber cover (please see picture below)?
