Lexus CT 200h Bound for Europe, But Not U.S.
Yep - Inside Line reporting that. I hope they're wrong. We'll see in a few weeks.

This vehicle is really important in Europe because of our CO2 based tax on cars and fuels. Lexus doesn't have any car today that can match for example BMW, Audi or VW in the environmental segment.

Is there really a market for a small car like this in the USA ?

Exactly...the hybrid tech offered by Lexus thus far in Europe has been on larger, higher-displacement vehicles. Enter the CT 200h to change things.

Right now, it hasn't really taken off. But there are optimistic projections...

If theres a market here for the audi A3 theres a market for this...
i think it would do fairly well here...it would introduce younger buyers into the lexus brand (even more so than the IS line) and hopefully they will step into a GS or LS later on.

Audi A3, BMW GT, Honda Accord Crosstour & CR-Z, all manner of Mazda hatchbacks, Mini Cooper, the new microcars (Fit, Versa, Cube, Yaris, etc) Subarus, VW Golf...

Ask Mazda if hatchbacks sell.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Car looks good to me....I like it. Supposedly the Prius drivetrain so possibly a 45-50 MPG Lexus!

That is exciting.

Even though we're unsure if we're getting this in the US, Canada might get it, just like how they got the B class and we didn't...
