Model: CT 200h 2013
Package: Premium package with Navigation, Backup camera, Moonroof, Nulex, Heated Seat
Extended Warranty: 100K / 7 years - $2000
Out of the door: $35,500 + $2000 = $37,500
Is it good deal? I am not sure I need Extended warranty or not as it has its own warranty upto 50K / 5 years. Please suggest. As I still can drop the warranty.
Thanks!

Someone tell me what I should be paying for this?
2012 CT200h
12k miles
Premium/Nav/backup
http://www.sterlingmccalllexus.com/V...-TX/1891290793
They're obviously asking too much but what would be a good offer? I was thinking <$30k?

For a $37,532 MSRP I had to pay $320 for DMV, $80 document processing fee, $29 electronic vehicle registration or transfer fee and rest is sales tax (8.25% for my city). So, your math would be similar.
(1+salestax)*Negotiated-Price + ($300 to $450).
This is for California. You can even calculate the exact DMV fee at for California at https://www.dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculator...VehicleForm.do
But it's pointless to compare the final price. You can only negotiate a price and everything on top is something that the dealer has no control (they may waive the doc processing fee but it's not much anyway).

I contacted 2 dealers in DFW area but there is not much room to negotiate even on 2012s.
I am looking at
Trim: 2012 CT200h Premium
Packages: Premium Audio Package with backup camera, illuminated door sills and preferred accessory package.
Received quote of $30688 + TTL. I know there is a $2000 cash incentive for dealer and that is included in this. Is this a good deal?

Thanks Chargerfan
There are only 4 dealers within DFW as far as I can tell and I have contacted 3 of them already. I will see if I can get them down on the price but it seems unlikely. Some of them have loads of 2012s on their lots but they don't seem to be in a hurry to sell. From reading this forum, it appears dealers in Cali are much more willing to negotiate and give better deals.
The only thing I noticed with Lexus dealers is that their emails while negotiating are pretty terse. For example, I asked e-price for a CPO 2012 CT200h and the response was "Yes, it is available". I can only visit dealer on weekends based on the distance. I am not going to drive all the way if its not worth it. How was your experience when you sent out emails?

the responses were varied, some dealers did the same thing as yours and replied w/ something generic like "yes, come in and lets talk" .... Some were arrogant and wanted to sell for full msrp (example, lexus of las vegas, nv). some gave decent lower prices, some were crazy aggressive and gave real low bottomline figures
so cal is an aweseome place when it comes to buying cars, if 1 dealer wont help me ... no big deal, ill move onto the one down the street
if I were you, get a quote from 5-6 dealers in so cal, show it to your local dealers and see if they can match or beat it. good luck!
