I've been driving a CT 200h for a little over a week now, even got the opportunity to take it out on the track! It's a great car and I've been averaging 44.1mpg.
Because it's built on the Prius platform it's incredibly reliable and Lexus is able to sell this car at a great price! I mean $30k for a LEXUS! even the one I'm driving is fully specked out at $36k - I'd pay that for sure!

the best thing about the CT 200h is that if you dont want to think about it as a hybrid, put it in sport mode and you'll never know the difference; and still able to push 37mpg!

just my quick opinion.

The charging electronics on this platform is not like a cell phone and really regulates the charge. There are several articles on vehicles from the first Prius to the Gen 2's with well of 250K miles on them and ZERO battery problems. Like anything there may be one or two, but for the most part Toyota has done their homework and it has been trouble free.
