My 2011 CT 200h Comfort (+ Sport, Navi and LED)
Hi!
I got my car in September last year and I've finally lowered it aswell as buying new shoes in time for the summer. I have previously owned a '99 IS 200 and a '06 IS 220d and I loved both of them. It was a bit weird going from a 177 bhp powered diesel engine to this one but I fell in love as soon as I took it home from the dealer.
I thought it was time for me to share my baby with you
Feel free to comment or asking questions!

I love it so far. It is underpowered compared to the IS 220d, but I don't feel it's underpowered in general. I've cut my fuel expenses by approx 50% compared to what I had with the IS 220d and that is fantastic. I managed to get 58 MPG on my last fuel tank (4,0 l/100K). The steering wheel in particular is way better than the one I had in the IS 220d, so I'm very happy with it!
I wanted Mark Levinson after enjoying it in the IS 220d but it was too expensive for me to go there in the end. Mark Levinson, leather and pre-crash is the only equipment missing in this car and I had to pay another $10000 for it to happen. The car cost me $64740 and I felt that was enough The stereo from Panasonic is very good although it can't be compared to Mark Levinson.
The wheels are 18" OZ Envy with ET35 offset. 19" will probably work but I had to go for 18" for various reasons. I lowered it 3 cm with the Eibach Pro-Kit.

Yup! This is when I really try hard to get as low as possible. I've not been under 4,0 l/100km (58.8 MPG) yet, but I'm going to try one day!
On average, I have 4,5 l/100km (52.2 MPG). That's when I drive without reaaaally trying to hold consumption down.

I think it has enough power to cope, but the electric engine alone has some issues going up steep hills from a standing-still position. The engine itself has no problems up hills but you obviously need to push the throttle a bit more than usual.

Man everytime I look at your car, i'm jealous at the fact you guys in Europe get the factory tinted glass out back. We're not allowed to have that in the US because the CT is classified as a passenger car not a truck/suv.

We aren't allowed to have tinted windows on front doors but rear doors are OK.

Yeah the rule varies state to state. The US gov't has regulations for all the car manufacturers. Requirements like amber colored front markers and rear taillight side marker lamps are mandatory.
As for window tint, no passenger car has dark window tint on any of the windows. A standard light percentage is okay but anything darker than like 85% is not legal. As for trucks/suv's they are allowed to have dark window tint on the glass behind the driver. As for window tint on the front windows, it varies from state to state. Here in CA its illegal to tint any of the front windows but most of us do it anyway.

That's interesting but I can compare it to similar things back home.
When I fitted lowering springs and wheels bigger than the original ones I had to get my car approved again at a local office of the "Directorate of Public Roads". They are very strict and they need to see TÜV-papers from Germany or other papers approved by the authorities aswell as the car if I want to drive around legally. They will check the numbers from the paperwork and find them physically on the lowering springs and wheels and compare them.
If I avoid getting it approved and get pulled over by the police in a "technical control" I would have to meet at a local office and show some papers or be told that the car is banned from driving until I either provide them with correct papers or remove springs and wheels.
