WTCrap!!! 31.1 MPG!!!!

i noticed that when i personally used cc myself, it struggled alot of the times to keep a constant pace which decreases mpg, but if i were to stand on the pedal myself i would have more accurate readings, just my 2 cents

Here are my detailed results for the first 11 months and 7600 miles of ownership driven. This is actual gallons added and actual miles driven calculation.

100% Air Conditioner ON
70% of the miles driven is on hyway with cruise set to 75mph. We use it to commute 220 mies between homes.
BTW, The dash computer lies by about 2 mpg high. When dash computer displays average 42 mpg real mileage calculates to 40 mpg.

After owning our CT for more than a year now, my wife loves the car for her commutes and so glad we got this instead of a Prius. The interior, fit/finish and overall quality is superb.
here's some notes and words to the wise:
a) Due to the low HP motor, ANYTHING affects MPG: Uphill climb, head wind, tail wind, following large trucks and temperature all contribute
b) Speeding is bad if you want efficiency, we found 55-60 mph is the magic number but who the heck drives at that speed!
c) Avoid opening windows on the highway, same goes for the sunroof to avoid drag
d) Weight and # of passengers also affect MPG
e) Using premium quality gas helps improve efficiency but it's not significant
f) Sparingly use the A/C especially during hill climbs
g) Drive in POWER mode brings better economy and car just feels so much nicer so added bonus!
h) Avoid ultra sticky rubber and high performance tires, we tried lightweight Volks with Dunlop rubber and immediately lost about 10 mpg! There is a reason Lexus chose those tires.
