Going cross-country with my CT!
Boys and girls, it's been a lot of fun here in the Sunshine State but because of a certain opportunity I approached upon in the gaming industry that I couldn't refuse, I decided to make the ultimate move from Orlando, FL to Las Vegas, NV. That's right, about a 2,200-mile move between the two metropolitan cities! Yes it's going to be kinda to be away from my family and close friends but I've always said to myself that one day I want to drive across the country and explore middle America before I die (I'm only in my 30's ). Plus I've researched and talked to several people that Vegas is booming with job opportunities, low cost of living, and sustainable housing market. There's a lot more to the city than just gambling and partying, so they say. For those who are in the know of Las Vegas or are even a local, feel free to leave your thoughts/opinions for a transplant making his first stay in the city.
In any case, I'm excited that after almost two months of planning this out, the time is getting close as I'm about 14 hours away from the start of the drive. I'll get some initial photos in the morning to get things going. The CT tank is full to the brim, and the ticker currently sits at 68,486 miles. I pretty much drive in ECO mode almost 95% of the time and get a calculated average of 43.5-44.5 MPG (not the one shown in the instrumentation display which is usually ~2.0 MPG higher). Oh and I just replaced the air filter two weeks ago so that's good to go. Only thing is the by the time we reach Las Vegas, the CT will be due for an oil change and the temporary place where I'll be staying does not allow anyone working on vehicles so looks like I might have to bite the bullet and have a dealer like Lexus of Las Vegas change the oil on my CT..
Nonetheless, for more to come!

Happy for you OP. My parents retired in Vegas (it's the west coast equivalent of Florida for retired people) so I'm very familiar with the place. I am curious what this "...opportunity...in the gaming industry that I couldn't refuse" is all about though.
Are you going to be a pit boss perhaps?

I have to say that it really cool to see someone so fired up about their job and looking forward to opportunities! Best of luck!
With all the dry warm air and flat ground, it will be interesting to hear how much your mileage improves. Enjoy your drive!

Factory wheels, maybe it's the 70#of sound deadening but that wouldn't make a difference since I went on a 2500 mile road trip last weekend and did 75 to 80mph and only eeked out 38mpg
