Default Kensun vs. Morimoto HID

hey CL,

im looking at two possible HID setups, the kensun 35W 5500K and the morimoto 35W 5500K. The kensun is cheaper and has mostly good reviews with the exception of some bad one.
The morimoto is a lot more trusted and is under warranty but is priced st 150 dollars.
Should just splurge the extra 100 dollars for better reliability? Anybody have experience with either one?

Thanks!

Lighting is categorized in grades when you walk into a factory in China.

Depending on grade (quality), there is a expected rate of failure.

Example, grade a ( top quality) can have a failure rate of 2% and costs $200

Grade d can have a rate of 25% and costs $50

So if you were to import 5000 pieces of grade a it will cost you 1,000,000 vs grade d 250,000.

Only 3750 pieces will work with grade d. These are the one that end up on eBay with a crap warranty or no warranty. You end up with nothing but problems, the wiring is made cheaply etc. I have personally cut open the cheap hid wiring harness and found only 8 strands of wire in it vs the morimoto to have 20.

Trs is here in Atlanta, when you walk into their building you will see a wall with their trademarks and other accolades. Where is Kensun again?

I go by this motto, quality is long remembered after price is forgotten.

I used to have a large pile of hid parts when I searched for a hid vendor for many years. In 2004 I started to used the xetronics kits from xtralights.com. I still have one of the original 6 kits I bought in a truck to this day. East coast trs west coast xtralights.com that's the only reason I don't use xtralights. Com, clients don't want to wait a week to get their lights installed. They want it now, if not they would have ordered it from eBay.
