I have also imported these lights from Japan and can tell you that seller is a big liar!
He is selling them because they are NOT I repeat NOT plug and plug!! And he probably can't make them work!
Even if you have LED headlights you still have to make a harness for it otherwise they won't work at all,
also there is a module that needs to be replaced for a newer version otherwise you won't be able to use the lights.
I am still in the process of making this retrofit work but close in finishing it,
very busy lately but when I have the retrofit complete I will report back with the result!
But for anyone looking to buy those lights don't believe that seller it's all bull****,
I have also told him that what he is claiming is not true but doesn't respond to my messages which says enough.

Do you have wiring schematics of your headlamp setup as well as the 2018 setup to compare the two?
Please share if you do, I can review it and try to help.
I have successfully helped a 2014 Lexus IS model convert properly to 2017+ headlamp/bumper. Running CANBUS wires from body ECU inside car to outside to driver headlamp was necessary to get high beam and DRL to work in new setup.

Can you elaborate what's different?

So far I only have to find out the problem with the level module.

All that you need is the pinout from the old and the new so that you can create a harness,
as far as I can tell the US and EU diagrams are the same so you can use my pinout.
You could choose to just change the pins on the car, but I would advise to create a harness so that you can undo it if you ever want to.
For this you need some wires and these connectors with terminals and seals, you can also buy them from bmmotorsports.com!
This pinout is for LED to LED, so if you have Halogen lights you need to change your harness first before you can do this!
2x 90980-10988
2x 90980-10987
2x 90980-10896
2x 90980-10897
This is the pinout which is all you need to get the lights working, I am still checking the module which also needs to replaced but I will get back on that.
This is from the 8 pin connector on the car to the 6 pin connector on the headlight, so this is from the 90980-10896 connector to the 90980-10988 connector.
From 8-Pin Connector (90980-10896) - To 6-Pin Connector (90980-10988)
Pin 2 - Pin 3
Pin 3 - Pin 1
Pin 4 - Pin 2
Pin 5 - Pin 6
Pin 6 - Pin 2 (This one does not go to the 6 pin but to the 8 pin Connector 90980-10897 So from 8-Pin to 8-Pin!)
Pin 8 - Pin 5
Next you need to go from the 6 Pin to the 8 Pin connector.
From 6-Pin Connector (90980-10987) - To 8-Pin Connector (90980-10897)
Pin 1 - Pin 3
Pin 2 - Pin 1
Pin 3 - Pin 5
Pin 4 - Pin 7
Pin 5 - Pin 4
Pin 6 - Pin 6
And if you do all this right you should have working Headlights, with Low-beam, High-beam and DRL!
When I get everything working with the module I will let you know!

Have you got a photo of everything working?
So my current set up on my 2015 F-Sport is halogen lights. According to what you're saying I would have to change my harness to be able to go to LED. THEN convert the LED to LED for the new 2018's is that correct? Sounds like a lot of work lol

you're better off doing a Bi xenon retrofit or even Koito BI-LED retrofit.
i've done a CT/RX350 bi xenon retrofit before on my last CT and now on my current one I am doing an MD2S4.0 bi xenon retrofit. Will post this weekend.
