Default headlight bulb tab broken and stuck

Dear CL, can anyone give me some recommendation in removing broken tab. It seems that one of plastic tab on H11 headlight sheared off and I can't install the new headlight bulbs. Any recommendation is much obliged.

can you get a small pair of needle nose pliers in there to grab the plastic tab?

I don’t see so. Plus I have no idea where the broken piece is wedged.

Can you take a picture and post it?

I tried but due to the small space I am not able to take photos of the problem but I do have a picture of the broken tab on the led light bulb.

Do you think it is the broken tab not allowing it to install or the location of that little screw. Have you tried reinstalling the factory non led bulb?

I think you are going to need a small little flat head screwdriver and try to pick and push the piece out but be careful not to let it drop into the headlamp housing itself once it frees itself.

Maybe also have a set of tweezers handle to help

UPDATE: looked everywhere and the plastic tab is stuck and won't budge. However, I was able to install the new led headlights. I guess I just have to live with the fact that little tab is going to be there.

How did you manage to install it with it still there? Make sure new bulb is sitting straight because if not, will not have a good seal and water can get inside the headlamp

frankly speaking no idea. I checked the beam patterns, checked inside the bulb housing, and checked if the bulb is fitted correctly; everything is good. NO idea where the little plastic tab went.
