Default Shaking steering wheel when brake

Hello guys,

My CT200h has been running 110k fine.

I recently noticed my steering wheel has some squeal/screech/lack of lubricant sound. At the same time, when I try to brake, i feel my steering wheel is shaking.

I recently replaced my brake pad, new tires, as well as done auto alignment with the car. Is it something wrong with my suspension? did anyone experience this as well?

do you notice if it is at a certain speed or is it all the time?

Check the condition of your front rotors.

Sounds like rotors or a poorly done brake pad replacement.

Rotors can warp if you ride the brakes down hills. This was cause the steering wheel to pulsate.

Easy enough to find out especially nowadays most national chain tire shop offer lifetime balancing.

Might want to check into "Road Force" tire balance where they put a load on the tire while turning it to balance. Cost about $15 extra per tire, but worth it.

it is intermittent. I dont feel it all the time, and thats why I tent to believe this is not a rotor issue?

Yes, with my wife's Prius (traded in for the CT200h) it would pulsate whenever light braking was applied. You could feel it at the steering wheel.
