Default Engine Dressing/Detailing

Hey guys, anyone ever detail/dress the engine bay? I'm a first time owner of a hybrid and have no idea how to approach this. Any help, images, and other such advice is appreciated..

You can pull the engine cover off, it is not held by anything except rubber.

So if I were to do a full engine detail with a degreaser, power wash on low settings, dressing, and other related products... What precautions do I need to take? I am not familiar with the protocol for a hybrid vs a non hybrid vehicle.
Thanks.

In my opinion doing this is a pretty risky job if you're unfamiliar, but it's basically the same as any other car. Wrap electronics, seals, and sensors. I found a video on youtube showing steps on a prius, which is basically the same engine.
