New CT200h Owner
Hey y’all, bought a L/certified 2015 CT200h F Sport recently and I’m absolutely loving it! Coming from a truck getting 18mpg, first tank of gas I am got 47mpg....this is fantastic!
Thinking of of upgrading my headlights to something brighter, anyone have suggestions?

I did the conversion from OEM halogen low beam headlights and fog lights to much brighter and whiter LED's (6000K temperature). I had these LED's for a little over three years now without problems except for the very first set which lasted just short of one year (only one of the liw besms burned out). The vendor promptly replaced with TWO LED's bc the ones I had we're no longer in production. And the vendor replaced in set of two to make sure the color temperatures match. The old ones had "fins" at the base (similar to an air cooled motorcycle engine design) whereas the new replacement LED's had silver strands (for heat dissapassion and cooling effect that I spread apart after screwing the LED bulb in place. I checked initially after installation and periodically thereafter after extended night time driving and no issues with melting the light housing. So all good.
I kept the OEM halogens in the back under the floor board for emergency backup use just in case.
Just do a search within the CT200h section. I had posted the LED's I used and pictures at night in total darkness to illustrate how far the LED's projects down the road.
In general......get FANLESS LED bulbs bc these tend to last longer and the ones with fans are noisy and will cause interference with other electronics in the car and the fan tend to fail prematurely and the whole LED bulb gets too hot and burns out.
I replaced the fogs also. The LED's in the fogs will project your sides way better especially if you are in total darkness out in the country roads. This is most useful for any wild animals approaching down the road from the sides.......gives you a little more time to react by hitting the brakes and stay on the road (not going to the shoulder or median).
I left the high beams as is with OEM halogens bc if the LED's fail when in motion (which is unlikely to have ALL LED's fail at the SAME time), I still have the old trusty halogen high beams as a backup.
