i still haven't done the spin on conversion. at about one oil change a year, i haven't really been too motivated. i may not ever do it unless the stock housing gets damaged some how

^great find. i ordered two. thanks. sold by amazon so it's fine. lol they probably just don't have a market for those so they seem overstocked

i've been using K&N for the last 10 oil changes, they weren't much more than that on Amazon when I purchased them. However, the next 10 changes I got Genuine Toyota/Lexus Filters with the crush washers included. I thought these were a pretty good deal as well.

~$3.50 for genuine with crush washers on that deal is not bad.
It's my first time getting a car this low and saddened that my Rhino Ramps didn't work at all, had to take out my heavy jack and stands for my first oil change. Low profile ramps are expensive and don't provide much lift =\
** I just learned from Amazon reviews that I can use them as jack stands, it would be nice if my jack lifted enough for these to go under the wheels

CT200h is not that low. Even w/ blue f sport springs, my CT gets up on plastic ramps. Maybe look for the low profile ramps. not all ramps are created equal. Also some wood planks might help.

Can we do away with that rubber flap that blocks access to the oil filter? Or is it best to leave as is so as not to get those above it dirty?
I just raised the car this morning to try and see if the filter is in the original housing (most likely as the previous owner has done oil changes at costco for the past few years) and noticed there's a rubber flap that is secured by a cable tie. I already ordered the Movix tool but didn't want to buy the filters until I have had the chance to look at what the housing looks like though I doubt it's been converted lol.

I would keep it in place. The flap keeps that bottom cover flat which helps with overall airflow management and overall cooling package of the car.
