Default 2014 CT with Display Audio // Possible to ADD Navigation???

I just bought a used 2014 CT which has display audio. I wasn't paying attention when I purchased the car and figured it had navigation since it has that big display on the top of the car dashboard. As I have the display, is it possible to add navigation? I miss having a map to look. Has anyone done this?

I know this isn't the solution you're looking for, but you may want to consider not adding navigation. I ordered my CT with the Display Audio package specifically so I don't get the navigation system. I've never used a single navigation system in a car that worked well, had all the roads, read traffic data properly, or even had a decent listing of businesses/places. Most of the places I go to never show up in any in-car nav system (even my brand new 2018 Audi with a map update doesn't find anything I look for, so I use Android Auto and Google Maps instead).

What I do is simply use a vent-mounted cell phone mount and run Google Maps right there under the screen. Best way to do in my opinion.

While I have not heard of anyone doing what you're asking about, keep in mind that if you had navigation, you'd have the touch controller instead of the rotary dial controller you have now. This may make it difficult, if not impossible, to simply replace the computer with the navigation version that I would assume would be necessary to do what you want to do.

Have to agree with Raidin. My CT has navigation and it is frustrating to try to enter a destination, especially when trying to use voice recognition. It works OK after you get a destination set... as long as the routes haven't changed since 2015. I use a cellular iPad and either Apple or Google maps. They are light years ahead in ease of use and constantly updated with the latest information.

I remember when the 1999 Acura TL debuted with navigation. It was when navigation started to kick off in a mainstream way (car wise). Hot hot hot! must have. Not today though. The best and most modern cars are disturbing to use. Phones are way easier. The only exception is if you have pre-entered destination such as home and you want to go home quickly, it's nice to have it on a large car screen. Or if you can mirror your phone on the car display.

Recently had a 2018 NX loaner and it was mind bogglingly hard to use navi. After fiddling with it 10 seconds.. i just pulled out my phone and found my way instantly.
