The warranty is also dependent on where it was first titled. This is not a CPO issue .... In CA emission states it 10y/150k

so your saying that if i get a vehicle that was first titled and registered in CA even if i purchase it in a state that only had it as a 100k warranty for 8-9 years i think
that i would automicaly have the 10 year 150k warranty form the first state due to emissions ?

That's what the dealer told me a few years ago ... I never checked again. Ask?

i am going to look into this
like i can see that perhaps maybe they have to alter it and make legal adjustments if a car outside of CA comes in to CA and gets titled and registred there under state laws but i don't think another state could force them to alter the warranty for a vehicle coming from CA to say FLorida or Ohio. but ill have to look into this more.
i see alot of a Lexus CT200h F sports fully loadded coming through salt lake city that happen to be from CA acording to the carfax

The next time I go to my dealer I'm going to ask gain. It's an odd situation. I'm not sure how many cars today are not 50 state certified ... but not too long ago this could be an issue -- especially in CA. If you bought a model not built to 50 state -- you could not title it in CA until it was 7 year old. Since the cars looked the same some people got burnt.

This is a different story.
