Lexus to Introduce Compact CT Replacement in 2021?

The Lexus' CT hatch is getting long in the tooth, but they might just have a high-tech replacement in mind.

 

I'd love to see them make this a pure EV. It's not like Toyota doesn't have the know how!

 

This could be the new CT... whatever it is, it will be announced in a couple weeks... it's a lexus. i brightened it so you can see more detail..

yup. saw it on autoblog i think. it didn't get much attention. looks like the headlight is moved low to the bumper (that's pretty unique) while the led turn signal is a thin strip on top on the white part. not sure what those orbs are on the top left. looks like a drawing of a satellite

i think the futuristic design signifies a fully electric powertrain underneath

 

The new fully revamped Mirai is aimed squarely at taking Tesla drivers but keeping it hydrogen and possibly offering to pay the "fuel" fees for 3 years is very interesting. It sticks to Toyota brass saying in the past that they weren't going to jump into the EV pool and instead would charter their own lane. Only time will tell how this will go but the car looks really good.

Full EV? Toyota does not do EV .....

 

Hopefully the new CT is coming over the next year or soo. My dad bought a 2019 CT200h and collected it a couple of weeks ago, it is nice and rides well etc.
It is a little dated compared to newer Lexus models such as the UX...
